Something keeps coming back. You probably know exactly what it is — you just haven't said it out loud yet.

Maybe a pattern with substances, gambling, porn, or sex. Maybe grief that won't resolve. Whatever it is, that's where we start.

No agenda, no deadline for fixing it. Just an honest look at what's happening and what kind of change actually feels possible.

How I work

Sessions are conversational, but we stay focused on what’s actually happening.

We look at patterns that keep repeating—when they show up, what sets them off, and what they’re doing for you in the moment.

I take a harm reduction approach. That means we’re not assuming the goal is all-or-nothing unless that’s what you want.Instead, we focus on what’s realistic—reducing harm, building awareness, and helping you feel more in control over time.

About Me

What I've come to believe is that the patterns people struggle with — compulsive behaviors, the ways we shut down or push people away — almost always developed for a reason. They made sense once. My job isn't to take them away but to help you understand them, and to find ways of responding that feel more workable over time.

Q. Do you take insurance?

A.Yes. I work with a number of insurance plans including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Kaiser, Medicaid, Medicare, and several Hawaii-based plans. You can see the full list on the Work With Me page.

Q: Do you work with adolescents?

A: Yes, I work with teens as well as adults. I spent many years in school-based mental health and have a lot of experience with adolescents navigating identity, anxiety, family conflict, and other concerns.

Q. How do I get started?

A. The easiest first step is a free 15-minute consultation. It's just a conversation — no paperwork, no commitment. We figure out together whether it's a good fit.
